Reworking Surfaces with Weez & Merl
A collaboration in Barcelona, extending material thinking from coasters to the Eva trolley. Working with Weez & Merl, recycled plastic becomes both surface and statement, shaped through process and use.

Set on top of The Social Hub in Poblenou, SíSí is part of a broader space that brings together guests, locals, work and social life in one place. The rooftop follows that same rhythm. It shifts easily from daytime into evening, with people moving between the terrace, the pool, and the bar. Service isn’t fixed to one point, it spreads across the space.
That’s where the Eva trolley comes in.
Rather than keeping everything behind the bar, the trolley allows parts of the preparation to move across the space. It works as a small, self-contained station, built in steel, that supports a more flexible way of serving without overcomplicating things.
For this project, the trolley was fitted with custom cover plates developed together with Weez & Merl. A simple addition, but one that brings in a different material quality while holding up to daily use.
We’ve shared a closer look at this collaboration over on The Spill.
